I make mistakes. You make mistakes. Your team makes mistakes.
Mistakes happen in everyday and if every aspect of life – business and personal.
What happens after a mistake is what is important.
What do you do – deny? Point the finger to someone else? Accept responsibility?
Hopefully, you accept responsibility and learn from it, and put plans in place to prevent the same mistakes from happening again.
Mistakes are not a failure of the individual but many times the failure of the process or the systems in place.
When mistakes happens…
1 – Own up to your mistake
2 – Fix the mistake
3 – Communicate the mistake and what has been done to fix it
4 – Put safeguards into place to prevent in the future
5 – Learn from the mistake
