If you are in a position of leadership, always remember the path you took to get where you are, the struggles that you had, the people that helped you along the way, the opportunist that you did and didn’t get, the success and failures and so on. Chances are you have employees starting out right where you do and need the guidance that you had along the way…give it to them and be a good mentor.
I see many leaders that have forgotten what it took to get where they are and the lack of respect they show to those not on their level.
