What kind of leader are you?

I’m going to go back 24 years to my first job and my first boss/leader. Her style was to scream, yell, intimidate and stomp around the office making her presence known.

Next job, worked for my first great leader, Miriam Hansen. Miriam helped shape my career, approach to leadership, how to deal with conflict and how to treat each individual differently based on their needs…just to name a few.

These are just two examples of the leaders that I had and they are completely opposite – but yet, I learned something equally important from both on how to be a good leader and what to do and what not to do and how that impacted my views on their leadership.

As a leader or boss, you need to always keep in mind that you are influencing someone else’s mindset by the way you are leading.

They are learning from you, just as you did from others. – what to do and what not do you.

Remember what you have learned from your past leaders/bosses and what it took to get where you are now.

Who are the leaders that had a positive impact on your career?
