Twitter to Slash Jobs. Twitter will cut 8% of its workforce, just as it did a year ago, that will put its cost structure more in line with its growth. With stalled user growth, management turmoil and product delays shows just how hard it will be to turn Twitter around. This comes on the heels of a couple failed opportunities for being acquired. The fourth quarter is going to be very critical for Twitter.

Apple, iPhones and 10th Anniversary. To coincide with the 10th anniversary of the iPhone device, Apple is planning to launch three new iPhone models next year. The will include a 4.7, 5 and 5.5 inch touchscreen with glass backs. Apple is hoping this will recharge sales of the iPhone.

Mobile & 75% Internet in 2017. In news that is not that surprising, mobile internet usage in 2017 will reach 75% in 2017 compared to 68% this year. In 2012, the mobile internet usage was sitting at 40%, so the growth has been very fast. If you are still not thinking mobile first, these stats should really get you thinking about mobile and mobile first and how customers are using mobile devices to interact with your brand.

Apple Redesign of MacBook Pro. Since I’m also a MacBook Pro owner, the news that Apple is redesigning the MacBook is great news and needed. Some of the features that have been incorporated into the MacBook are touch screen features and a “touch bar” which replaces the function keys at the top of the keyboard. Apple also revealed pricing which will be a little higher than previous MacBooks.
