eMail and SMS incentives – incentives are great for building your eCRM databases but how loyal are the customers you are bringing into your programs? You do need to give your customers the value of signing up to be part of your program, but you don’t need to give them something free to sign up. It has been my experience that the customers that received something free were less engaged and many times just came for the free item and didn’t come back again. By building good brand loyalty, your special incentive is based on the value proposition of your programs and what they will receive in return for signing up – the incentives will also be different for every business category.
