Knowledge is powerful, but it is what you do with your knowledge and how you allow others to learn from you that will allow you to stand apart from the smartest person in the room…who shares nothing.

Today’s question is one that I receive often.

Question: What tool or tools do you use to preview eMails in multiple clients and to see how customers are engaging with your eMails?

Answer: I use a web based partner called Litmus (www.Litmus.com) for all our preview eMails and for analytics to see how customers are engaging with our eMails. Litmus is not another eMail provider but a web application that works outside of your email provider.

What are you doing to be an expert in your field and a resource people look to? Experience is one part of being a subject matter expert – you also need to stay on top of your field, join groups, be active within the groups, write articles, create a blog and be a general source of information for others. Use your knowledge to team others.
