The goal was set for Chris Strub, 50 states in 100 day. That seems pretty easy doesn’t it? Nope, not even close!

What comes next in the book is the raw emotions that Chris shares as he begins his journey on 50 states in 100 days, WITHOUT a sponsor or any financial backing. Just the desire, the drive and the determination of one individual to do what he loves best and that is to help others. In this instance, it is to visit and volunteer at a different youth organization in all 50 state…yes, this also included Alaska and Hawaii.

Along the way, you not only get a feel for what drives Chris, but also how stressful this trip is with each passing day and the toll it can take both mentally and physically while he was seeing his credit cards becoming more full with each passing state.

What you also experience with this book is a wonderful story that is being told along the way, in a way that Chris knows best and that is through his eyes, the eyes of the youth organizations he visits, through social media, live-streaming and interviews with local press. Along the way, Chris also became the first person to live-stream & Snapchat is all 50 states.

There are so many take-aways from this book – goal setting, never giving up on your goals, giving of yourself to others, putting on a happy face even when you are at your lowest and finally, there are still some really good people in this world, and Chris is one of them.

This is a highly recommended book to read to fully understand and appreciate that journey that Chris completed.

This review is just my personal opinion and reflection of the book.
